Vice President Wu Guohua visits the South Africa Embassy in Beijing

BEIJING,July 14(Chinamining)--Wu Guohua, Vice President of China Mining Association visited the South Africa Embassy in Beijing and held friendly talk with H.E. Siyabonga C Cwele, South African Ambassador to China.
 
During the meeting, Wu first thanked Ambassador Siyabonga for his warm reception and introduced the preparations for the 2021 China Mining Conference and Exhibition which will be held in Tianjin from October 21 to 23. He invited the Ambassador to attend the opening ceremony of the conference, participate in the national promotion session and set up an exhibition booth. With the help of the embassy, Wu also hoped to contact domestic mining enterprises in South Africa to participate in online and offline relevant activities of the conference  so as to take this opportunity to promote exchanges and cooperation between governments and enterprises of the two countries in the mining field.
 
Ambassador Siyabonga thanked Wu for his visit and invitation. He noted that China and South Africa are both developing countries and important trading partners of each other. South Africa is rich in mineral resources, mining is its pillar industry. The Embassy will actively communicate with relevant domestic departments to promote and demonstrate South Africa's mining investment environment and investment policies through the platform of China Mining Conference and Exhibition. In addition, he hopes to have exchanges and discussions with the Chinese side on new technology that relates to infrastructure construction, mining safety and carbon emission reduction. The ambassador also expressed the willingness to work with China for multilateral cooperation and peaceful rise.
 
The meeting was also attended by Yusuf Timol, Commercial Counselor of the South African Embassy, and relevant personnel of the International Department of China Mining Association.
