BEIJING, June 9th(Chinamining)-- Peng Qiming, President of China Mining Association and his delegation visited the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia in China and held friendly talk with Gaoseb, the Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Namibia in China.
Peng expressed his gratitude to Namibia for its long-term support to China Mining Association and China Mining Conference and Exhibition. Then he introduced the preparations for China Mining 2021 and suggestions for further cooperation in the future.
During the meeting, Peng invited the Namibian Ambassador to attend the opening ceremony of this year's conference, take part in the country promotion session, set up a national exhibition stand and take this opportunity to show Namibia's mining investment opportunities to the world.
Counsellor Gaoseb welcomed Peng and his delegation, and gladly accepted the invitation of China Mining Association. He said that he would make full use of the conference to actively coordinate with domestic mining enterprises to participate in the relevant activities of 2021 ChinaMining Conference and Exhibition, and agreed to build a national booth and take part in the promotion session.
The two sides also reached consensus on the establishment of a cooperation and exchange mechanism between China Mining Association, the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia and the Namibian Mining Association.
Staff from the Ambassador's Office and relevant personnel from the International Cooperation Department of China Mining Association attended the meeting.
