State-owned PetroChina's 9 million mt/year Liaoyang Petrochemical refinery in northeastern Liaoning province plans to export around 60,000 mt of gasoil in June, a refinery source said Wednesday.

The planned exports are steady from April and May.

So far, exports from the refinery total around 390,000 mt, which is all of its production since January.

Gasoil cargoes from the refinery usually head to South America and Southeast Asia.

The refinery produces 10 ppm sulfur gasoil that adheres to the National Phase 5 emissions standard and it is mainly exported under the general trade route.

Liaoyang has one 5.5 million mt/year crude distillation unit and processes Russian ESPO Blend, which it gets via pipeline.

The refinery is building 11 new units apart from upgrading five existing plants, which will cut its output of gasoil but increase aromatics production.

The project is expected to be completed around September, according to the refinery source.
