BEIJING, JULY.22 (CHINA MINING) Cheng Liwei, President of China Mining Association (CMA), met with Jan Klawitter, Head of Corporate Affairs and International Relations of Anglo American. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on their priorities and actively discussed the possibility of future cooperation.
President Cheng Liwei welcomed Mr Jan Klawitter and his team. He introduced to Mr Jan Klawitter the history, functions and recent work of China Mining Association, and extended an invitation to Anglo American to participate in the 2024 (26th) China Mining Conference and Exhibition.
Mr Jan Klawitter gave a comprehensive introduction to the possible future adjustments in Anglo American's business segments. He pointed out that Anglo American has long been committed to actively practicing social responsibility, and has made unremitting efforts to promote social development, reach low-carbon goals, and ensure security of supply. He gladly accepted President Cheng Liwei's invitation and said he would actively participate in this year's CHINA MINING.
Cong Weike, Chief Supervisor of CMA, Wang Fan, Principal Corporate Affairs and staff from the Department of International Cooperation and Research of CMA attended the meeting.
