President Peng Qiming meets Tanzania Ambassador

On the morning of June 9, 2021, Mr. Peng Qiming, President of China Mining Association and his delegation visited the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in China and held friendly talks with H.E.Mbelwa Kairuki, Ambassador of Tanzania to China.

During the talks, President Peng thanked the warm reception of the ambassador, then introduced the preparation of the 2021 China Mining Conference and Exhibition, invited Kairuki to attend the opening ceremony of the conference this year, take part in the national promotion, set up an exhibition booth at the same time, displaying the mining investment opportunities in Tanzania to the world.He also pointed out that he hoped to organize Chinese enterprises to visit Tanzania at an appropriate time to promote substantive cooperation between the two countries in the mining sector.

Ambassador Kailuki first welcomed President Peng Qiming and his delegation.He mentioned that the friendship between China and Tanzania goes back to ancient times and the Tanzanian side attaches great importance to the cooperation between the two countries in the mining industry.He said that he accepted the invitation of China Mining Association to attend the opening ceremony of the conference, and will actively participate in the relevant activities of the 2021 China Mining Conference and Exhibition, mobilize domestic enterprises to participate in the exhibition, and promote bilateral cooperation in mining field.
The two sides also reached consensus on signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation during the conference.

Saidi Hussein Massoro, Minister to China of the Tanzanian Embassy in China and other relevant personnel of the International Cooperation Department of China Mining Association attended the meeting.
